Meshcapade builds AI-generated 3D digital humans, anatomically correct avatars with skeletal rigging and animation-ready topology, from a single photo, video, or body scan, without traditional motion-capture equipment. The company was founded in Tübingen, Germany in 2018, spinning research out of the Max Planck Institute, and built its platform on the SMPL body-model research its founding team helped create.
The platform's markerless motion capture extracts full-body movement from ordinary video, while separate 'Motion from Text' and 'Body Shape from Images' tools generate animations or avatars without any capture session at all. A multi-person MoCapade mode on paid tiers extracts movement for several people from one video simultaneously, which single-actor motion-capture tools broadly can't do.
Meshcapade suits game studios, animation houses, and researchers who need digital-human assets without a motion-capture stage. A free plan covers 2,500 credits a month with a 10-second video limit; the Pro plan runs EUR99 a month for 25,000 credits and a 30-second limit, and Enterprise pricing is negotiated for volume use.
