Amberscript turns audio and video into text and subtitles. It is run by Amberscript Global B.V. and positions itself as a European provider, with files stored on EU servers, GDPR compliance and ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 certification. Its customers include researchers, podcasters, media teams and public bodies that need accessible content.
There are two service levels. Machine-made transcription and subtitles are produced by its speech recognition in minutes, with a stated accuracy above 90 percent, automatic speaker identification, a custom dictionary and an online editor for corrections. Human-made transcription and subtitles are reviewed by native-speaking language experts to a stated 99 percent or better, in more than 18 languages. Around these sit translated subtitles, a speech-to-text API, audio and text datasets for training AI models, and Amber Notes, a newer notetaker that records, transcribes and summarizes meetings.
Prices are in euros. The pricing page lists machine-made plans at 19 euros a month for 5 hours of audio and 29 euros a month for 10 hours, with yearly billing 17 percent cheaper and one-time credits as an alternative. Human-made transcription starts at 1.85 euros a minute and human-made subtitles at 4.40 euros a minute. The AI products can be tried free after registration.
