Speechlogger is a browser-based service from WellSource Ltd, of Petah Tikva, Israel, that turns speech into text as it happens for meetings, speeches and events, whether in person or online. Live captions can be broadcast to participants, who can read them on their own devices, and the transcript can be downloaded or printed afterward. WellSource also makes Speechnotes, TTSReader and file transcription services.
The service combines automatic speech recognition with machine translation for real-time translated captions, and color-codes speakers so a reader can follow who is talking. It works alongside other meeting platforms rather than replacing them. The site does not name its underlying models.
Speechlogger is labeled an alpha release and is free for now: the site calls it 100% free for a limited time and asks users to try it and send feedback. Pricing after the alpha has not been announced.
