Headway.ai is a hiring platform that positions itself as an autopilot for recruiting: given a requisition, its AI bots source candidates, assess their skills, interview them and return a pre-assessed, proctored shortlist. It is sold as six modules. Auto Source writes the job description and matches candidates from a database the site puts at more than 1 million profiles, with a talent miner and candidate CRM. Auto Assessment covers 850+ technical skills with live coding in 60+ languages, CEFR language testing in 65+ languages and scenario-based tests. Auto Interview runs a conversational video interview with follow-up questions, competency scoring, a transcript and the footage. Smart ATS handles approvals, bot-led scheduling, e-signatures, offer letters and HRIS sync. Interview Copilot adds a live transcript, scoring and suggested probes to human interviews, and Compass supplies funnel and predictive people analytics.
Fraud control is a stated differentiator. Assessments and interviews run under proctoring that includes face and multiple-person detection, periodic photo capture, IP tracking, tab-switch prevention, full-screen lock and disabled copy-paste and developer tools, aimed at proxy candidates, deepfake interviews and AI-scripted answers, and every flag is reported on the candidate’s record. Buyers can take the whole system, only the ATS, or only the processed-candidate module synced into an existing ATS. The site says the service is live across India, Southeast Asia, the Gulf, the UK and EU, and the US and Canada, and states GDPR, EEO and OFCCP compliance, with data residency and retention set per customer agreement. Its savings figures, such as 5x faster time to hire and 70%+ recruiter time saved, are vendor-reported with no methodology.
Automated screening, scoring and interviewing of candidates is regulated in several places, including New York City’s rules on automated employment decision tools and the EU AI Act, which treats AI used in recruitment as high-risk. Employers should ask for bias-audit results and an explanation of how scores are produced, and keep a person responsible for hiring decisions. Pricing is by module and volume and is not published; the site says to register to see options or book a demo. The operator named in the footer is Altruistik Consulting Pvt Ltd.
