about.me builds a one-page personal site for freelancers, consultants and people with side businesses. A page holds a photo, a short bio, links and a call-to-action button, and it comes with an about.me address and an email signature that links back to the page. The current homepage leads with a newer feature, the AI Twin, which the site also calls the Virtual Twin.
The AI Twin is a chatbot that sits on the page and talks to visitors as the page owner. It is trained on the owner’s background, so it can answer questions about that person, their work and what they sell. Leads from those conversations go into a CRM built into about.me for follow-up, and visitors can schedule appointments from the same page. The site frames this as turning a static profile into a conversational one.
The Free plan costs $0 and covers a page on an about.me address, without the AI Twin. On the US pricing page Standard is $5 a month, billed as $60 a year, and adds the Virtual Twin, lead capture and scheduling. Pro is $7.50 a month, billed as $90 a year, and adds a custom domain connection. Annual billing is described as two months free; monthly rates were not read.
