AiAssistWorks is an AI add-on for Google Sheets, Docs and Slides. It bulk-fills spreadsheet rows, builds formulas, charts, pivot tables and data validation from plain-language commands, generates slide decks and edits documents, and processes more than 100,000 rows without rate limiting. It reaches more than 100 models across seven providers – OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Groq, OpenRouter and Straico among them – and users supply their own API keys.
Bring-your-own-key is the decision that matters. A Workspace add-on marking up someone else’s model API is the standard shape of this category, and letting you connect your own key instead removes that markup entirely – the $3-a-month Lite plan is for the add-on’s own execution credits, not for model access, which is a genuinely different cost structure from competitors bundling both. Being distributed through the Google Workspace Marketplace also means the 4.9-star rating across 70,000-plus installs is independently checkable rather than self-reported.
The no-rate-limiting claim on 100,000-plus rows is worth testing on your own sheet before relying on it for a production job, since Google’s own Apps Script execution quotas apply regardless of what any add-on promises. And bringing your own key means you are billed directly by the model provider on top of the add-on fee – a genuinely better arrangement than a markup, but two invoices rather than one.
